2006.10.04 In another first for the providers of Structural Repair Equipment, Car-O-Liner Academy broadcasted the first in a series of training programs in Canada using the CARS Network.
The Car-O-Liner Measuring Program shown in it’s first ‘live’ broadcast on October 2, 2006 included training on collision forces, measuring concepts, identifying measuring equipment types and their usage. This Interactive Distance Learning (IDL) course included call in question and answer session for both the students and instructor, along with an on-line post test that was performed by the students upon completion of the two hour broadcast.
“Our goal at Car-O-Liner Academy is no boundaries in reaching our customers. With many collision repair shops being in remote areas it is not often easy for them to participate in traditional training programs. With the CARS Network we can reach a broad audience throughout Canada quickly with a satellite beam!” states Timothy Morgan, global director of technical training for Car-O-Liner Academy who hosted the first broadcast.
Car-O-Liner continues to pioneer aggressive methods to increase the education of technicians, instructors, vehicle manufacturers, and industry support personnel through out the world with training centres in over 60 locations across the globe.
“Collision TV” operated by the Canadian Automotive Repair and Service (CARS) Council, receives project funding from the Government of Canada’s Sector Council Program.
