2007.06.11 The Academy presented ‘Today’s Structural Repairs for Educators’ to a group of teachers that traveled to the National Training Center in Wixom, Michigan from as far as the State of Washington, Colorado and as close as the bordering State of Ohio.
The training started with information about new vehicle design and steel content, use of the Computerized Measuring System, Full Frame Clamping, Suspension Damage Diagnosis, new dent repair techniques, resistance welding, and weld bonding techniques. The week advanced with training in Aluminum MIG/MAG welding, MIG Brazing (Silicon Bronze), and finished out with updated information on ‘Train the Trainer’ techniques.
3M Company also contributed to this program with presentations and materials on bonding, weld bonding and welding safety.
This course which has been offered annually for eleven years by Car-O-Liner is one of the I-CAR
Training Alliance Programs and qualifies for Gold Class points while offering 24 Clock Hours of
training to the Educator. Car-O-Liner continues to dedicate its resources to update the Educators
who are guiding our future technician pool.
