2007.09.27 In an effort to assist technicians with proper effective training BMW NA has launched technician training specific to Car-O-Liner Technicians and their equipment.
The first session held at the BMW Training Center in Spartansburg, South Carolina August
28-30. Technicians using Vision X3 software and the EVO 1-3 system on a Mark 6 Bench learned
proper techniques for replacing a B-Pillar and Rocker Section on the 2007 BMW X5 SAV. The repair
was completed using the CR600 Resistance Spot Welder.
Shawn Hart the BMW Instructor along with assistance from
Tim Morgan from Car-O-Liner were able to give the students the latest technique of
both BMW and Car-O-Liner Processes. According to Shawn ‘the proper way to train the technician is
with the equipment they are most comfortable with, which is what they use everyday.
By having the training specific to the structural equipment used just adds to complete the
training process.” BMW will continue to offer more training in the future combining both the OEM
Process and Car-O-Liner Equipment.
