2009.08.04 Randy Profeta has worked in the automotive and collision repair industry for more than thirty years. His work experience includes job assignments in both the retail and wholesale segments of the automotive industry.
Before joining CAR-O-LINER, Mr. Profeta worked as a Senior Consultant and Project Manager for
Summit Consulting Int’l. Inc. Mr. Profeta also served as the Corporate Director of Collision
Services for AutoNation where he had direct responsibility for the oversight and effective
operation of over 90 dealer-operated collision repair facilities.
Mr. Profeta spent ten years with Toyota Motor Sales U.S.A. Inc. where his duties included
technical writing, training, and dealer development. His department was responsible for the
implementation of the Toyota collision center certification program. Mr. Profeta’s group
successfully adapted the lean manufacturing concepts of the Toyota Production System to Body and
Paint service.
An active participant in the industry, Randy was a member of the Board of Directors for the
National Auto Body Council from 1999 to 2004. He has served on the ASE Board of Governors and
the Collision Repair Technical Committee for Skills USA(VICA). He holds ASE certifications as
a Master Auto Body and Paint Technician, Collision Estimator, and Automotive Mechanical
Technician. During his tenure at AutoNation, he was a member of the General Motors Dealer
Fixed Operations Advisory Board.
Mr. Profeta holds a BSB degree in Marketing from Seton Hall University, South Orange
NJ. He returned to Seton Hall in 1996 and earned a Masters degree in International
Business. To keep physically active, Randy participates in endurance sports and bicycle
racing.
