2009.08.20 CAR-O-LINER’s new FULLY AUTOMATIC Spot Welding System “VISION” with transformer gun technology is the latest generation of intelligent welding systems.

With the increasing rate of developing new light weight raw materials for use in today’s vehicles requires advanced welding systems that can deliver the highest quality spot-welds needed to exceed crash-test safety standards once a vehicle has been repaired. High-strength steels in particular demand accurate welds with tight tolerances to be performed within the recommended OEM parameters.

As soon as the welding process is initiated the electrode on the welder extends towards the steel sections to be fused together where an extensive measuring process is activated to measure the overall thickness of the steel. The VISION welder then records the total thickness of the metal plates within thousandths of a second. When the current starts to flow, it recognizes and determines whether any of the construction components are made up of high strength or ultra high strength steel. The subsequent fully automatic welding process is then based on the measurements taken without having to enter or adjust any parameters in advance.
